Each of these scholarships will provide full tuition fees for full time MPhil/PhD study at Queen Mary in one of the following areas:

1. Applicants must be Pakistani/AJK nationals who are currently studying or working at an institution recognised by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.
2. Candidates must have a minimum of sixteen years of education (MSc, MA, MBA, ME, MS, B.E / BSc (Engg), M.B.B.S or equivalent) in a relevant field.
3. Students with MS level qualifications and research experience will be at an advantage.
4. Candidates should have graduated within the last 2 years.
5. Candidates should have first division marks throughout their academic career.
6. Candidates must meet Queen Mary’s standard English requirements – IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
7. Candidates must be able to support themselves financially either through personal finance or through support from their institution. UKBA guidelines state that living expenses in central London are £9,600 per year.

Fully funded University International Research Scholarships are available for high quality international students who will be commencing PhD research study in Session 2011-2012 for study in any Faculty at the University of Leeds.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Please read this information carefully, as your application form will be automatically rejected if you do not meet ALL of the eligibility criteria listed below

• Applicants MUST first submit a research degree study application form and be in receipt of a University BANNER ID Number to be eligible for a Fully-Funded International Research Scholarship. • These awards are only available to applicants who would be liable to pay academic fees at the full international fee rate;
• Applicants must normally hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK First Class Honours degree and should be considered to be the ‘best of the best’ (eg, applicants should be demonstrably in the top 20% of their cohort). Applicants should either have graduated with the appropriate First Degree or be in their final year of study;
• Applicants whose first language is not English must have already met the University’s English Language requirements1. Some Schools require a standard of English higher than the University minimum;
• These awards are not open to individuals who have already been awarded a Doctoral degree or equivalent qualification;
• Applicants must not hold another Scholarship.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE & RESULT
Applications are logged by the Postgraduate Scholarships Office and passed on to the relevant Schools for initial consideration. Each School selects a shortlist of applicants who they wish to recommend for the award.
The Group on Scholarships, Studentships and Prizes then meets to consider the shortlists and select the successful applicants. Applicants can expect to be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of March 2011. The University will publish the names of the successful applicants within the University and externally on the University website.

Noon Educational Foundation Oxford Scholarships 2011 for Pakistani Students – UK

Introduction:
The Noon Educational Foundation was established in 1992 by Lady Viqarunnissa Noon to support scholars from Pakistan to study at leading universities in the United Kingdom. The scholarships at Oxford are funded by the Foundation, the University and a number of generous partners.
Am I eligible?
Applicants should be citizens of Pakistan and be resident in Pakistan. Candidates who have previously studied outside of Pakistan will not normally be considered. Applicants must be planning to return to Pakistan after completing their studies.
Awards are made based on the following key criteria:
Academic merit Financial need The potential social contribution made by the applicant on their return to PakistanApplicants must be applying to start a course of study at the University.
What does it cover?
The size and duration of awards vary according to each scholar’s circumstances. In recent years these have ranged from partial awards (e.g. £3000) to fully funded scholarships (all fees and living costs).
How do I apply?
Graduates: Apply at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting Noon Educational Foundation in the Funding Section of the University’s Graduate Application Form. Candidates should apply by Application Deadline 2 (7 January 2011 for Medical Sciences and Philosophy; 14 January 2011 for Said Business School applicants; 21 January 2011 for all other subjects).You must also attach a short statement with your application setting out (in not more than 200 words) how you intend to contribute to Pakistan on your return, and how your studies in Oxford will help with this.If you do not apply in full by the deadline, you will not be considered for the scholarship, even if you have selected Noon Educational Foundation on the Graduate Application Form.
Undergraduates:
You must apply to UCAS and Oxford as described on the Undergraduate Admissions webpage by 15 October 2010.
You must also complete the Application Form for Undergraduate Scholarships and by the application deadline in order for your application to be complete. The deadline to submit the Application Form for Undergraduate Scholarships is 12 noon on Friday 25 February 2011.
How will I know if I have been successful?
We exepct final award decisions to be available in July 2011.A notice will appear on here when decisions have been made. If you have not heard from us by the time this notice is posted, then your application to this scheme has been unsuccessful. GC University Faisalabad offers 12 foreign PhD scholarships under its faculty Development Program to academically outstanding, research oriented scholars, who desire to improve their academic qualification and to become a part of GCUF's Faculty. The PhD Programme is fully funded under the project: "Establishment of Govt. College University Campus on Cost Sharing Bases with Govt. of Punjab".

Scholarship Attraction:

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Mnimum16 years of education in the relevant field except Pharmacy (Minimum 17 years of education)
• Minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.00 or 70% marks in semester system of 65% marks in annual system from HEC recognized institutions. The candidates having 2nd division Master degree in the subject of English are also eligible.
• Only one 2nd division prior to the last degree is allowed.
• No 3rd division/D-grade in the academic career.
• Maximum age is 35 years, except for people working on regular basis(including temporary likely to become permanent) in public sector institutions whose maximum age 40 year, by the closing date of applications.
• Those candidates, who have applied to other HEC scholarship Programmes and are awaiting results, may also apply.
• Scholarship will be awarded to candidates in disciplines in which they have earned B.Sc./M.Sc. and/or M. Phil degree
• An awardee will not change the course of studies as specified by the awardee in the application form or in the letter of award.
• An awardee will not hold any other scholarship/stipend during the fellowship period of his/her studies.
• GRE (General)/GAT with minimum 50% scores.
• In-service candidates should apply through proper channel. Advance copies will be entertained, however, the NOC from the organization must be provided on or before the interview.

Selection Procedures:

• Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
• Selected candidates other than GCUF faculty members will be offered faculty positions and they would be expected to join within 4 weeks of issuance of appointment letter.
• Visa arrangements will also be the responsibility of the selected candidates.
• Successful candidates will execute a bond with GC University, Faisalabad, for minimum 05 years to serve.

Last Date for Submission of Applications:

• Application Form is available in the office of the Registrar. Candidates are required to fill in the form and mail at the address given below with a bank draft /postal order of Rs: 500/-(non refundable) in favor of Treasurer. GC University Faisalabad as application fee.

Scholarship Scheme for the Ward of Farmers

Introduction
Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has expanded its scope of the scholarship program and has launched Masters Level Foreign Scholarships. The scholarships are awarded to the brilliant and needy students to pursue higher education in the top ranking universities of the world. PEEF endeavors to provide financial assistance to scholarship holders till the completion of their degree / course they are enrolled in.
Objective
PEEF promotes education by facilitating both genders equally and providing them opportunities to fulfill their dreams and aspirations so that they become partners in national development. These scholarships are available for selected students of Punjab who have unconditional admission offer from the top ranking universities of the world.
Scope of Foreign Scholarship Program
PEEF Foreign Scholarships Program are available for the brilliant and needy students to pursue higher education in the top ranking universities of the world, in the following subject areas:

• Physical Sciences
• Earth, Atmosphere & Marine Sciences
• Engineering Technology & Mathematics
• Information Technology
  

Approach
PEEF advertises Foreign Scholarships through print media – National Dailies. Applications for the award of PEEF Foreign Scholarship are invited through advertisement in the leading newspapers. The same advertisement and application form are also be uploaded on the web and are also available from PEEF office.
Eligibility Criteria
Following is the eligibility criteria for PEEF Foreign Scholarships:

1. Valid offer of Admission for Master Level Studies in the top ranking universities of the world
2. Admission in preferred subjects area
3. At least 60% marks throughout the academic career
4. The applicant must have Punjab domicile
5. Maximum age of the applicant should not be more than 26 years at the time of application
6. Bachelors degree from HEC recognized university
7. Students should not have availed any Foreign Scholarship in the past

Duration of Scholarship
The Scholarships are provided for the complete degree program up to the maximum of two year, subject to the maintenance of satisfactory academic performance. The performance reports will be submitted through the concerned universities
Interview & Initial Selection
The Foreign Scholarship Committee (FSC), has been constituted to shortlist and recommend the candidates for the award of scholarships.
Outcome of applications
All the applicants are informed through official letter regarding the outcome of their applications.
Scholarship Coverage:
The PEEF Foreign Scholarships are fully funded scholarship and cover the following:

• Tuition fees of the Degree Course
• Boarding & Lodging Expenses
• Air Fare

Visa
It is the responsibility if the award holder to apply and satisfy the requirements for issuance of an entry visa of the host country. The offer of award of scholarship is conditional with the issuance of a valid visa. Any cost associated while processing of the visa is the sole responsibility of the applicant.
Monitoring Of the Scholarship Holders:
PEEF Requires all scholars to submit the quarterly/six monthly/semester wise progress reports on his/her assigned program through the academic supervisor. The academic supervisor will also provide the recommendation for the continuation of the scholarship. Note: If the student fails to pass the degree course for which he / she was awarded scholarship, the case will be presented to the Foreign Scholarship Committee. And the committee will look into the matter and the decision will be communicated to the scholarship holder. The decision of the FSC cannot be challenged in any court of law.
Award Suspension and Termination
PEEF reserve the right to cancel the scholarship and recover the cost incurred if the scholars does not abide by the instruction mentioned below:

1. The scholar shall not change the specified course of studies nor register himself/herself for any other course or program without prior approval of the PEEF.
2. The scholar shall not take interruption or extend the specified period of studies without prior approval of the PEEF.
3. The scholar shall refrain from engaging himself/herself in any political, commercial or any other activity incompatible with his/her program of studies abroad.
4. All visits outside the country of study for academic or other reasons will require prior approval of PEEF.
5. In case the scholar fails to qualify the course for which he/she was awarded Scholarship, the PEEF reserves the right to recover entire expenditure inclusive of traveThe scholar shall not incur any debts during his/her stay abroad and will clear all outstanding bills before leaving the country of study/research.
6. The country of study/research.
7. The scholar shall regularly submit the quarterly / six monthly/semester wise progress reports on his/her assigned Program through the academic supervisor to the International Office PEEF and a final comprehensive report immediately on completion of the study/ research.
8. The scholar is liable to disqualification from foreign scholarship or such other as PEEF may consider appropriate, if:
   1. Violates any of the foregoing conditions, or
   2. Found to have made any misstatement therein before.
   3. Indulged in any political/disciplinary/unlawful activities/misconduct

Conditions and limitations
The conditions and limitations outlined below apply to all Award Holders:

1. The PEEF foreign scholarship cannot be deferred or transferred.
2. The Award is conditional upon Award Holders meeting any conditions that are outlined in the Award Offer letter sent to successful applicants prior to commencement.
3. Award Holders must commence their Award in the same year.
4. There are limitations on field of study for PEEF Foreign Scholarship. Students have to take admission in the mentioned priority subject areas(detail of priority subject areas is attached)
5. Award holder must undertake the program outlined in their application unless otherwise approved by the PEEF International Office.
6. Award holders are expected to reside in their host country thorough the award duration unless otherwise approved by the PEEF International Office.
7. Award holders must comply with the local laws of the host country.
8. Award holders are expected to return to their home country at the completion of their programs
