| About the College: The Shifa College of Nursing (SCN) is one of the leading nursing educational institutions of Pakistan. SCN commits to provide enabling environment and learning opportunities to nursing students and faculty members to enhance their professional practice and scholarship. Detail: Shifa College of Nursing offers a 4-year BSc Nursing program which was established in 2004 with the commitment to provide nursing students with sound knowledge, and competency to provide quality nursing care to individuals, families and communities. The College graduated its first batch of BSc. Nursing Students under Faculty of Health Sciences, Bahria University in December 1997. Altogether 18 students were graduated, 13 male and 5 female students. Merit Scholarships In lines with the philosophy of promoting quality and recognizing merit, the College has instituted Merit Scholarships and awards. Merit scholarship is granted in each academic year at SCN for the following achievements Merit Scholarships for BScN Program/Post RN BScN.
The framework of BSc Nursing and Post-RN BScN education at SCN is based on the competency model. This curriculum will prepare nurses to use knowledge from science and humanities for making critical decisions and providing holistic care concerning the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of individual, families and communities. The curriculum is in line with the Regulations of the Pakistan Nursing Council and international standards for B.Sc.N degree programs. The entire course is spread over 8 semesters.
